ROMAN0104

STORY

Produced from Roman cement—a natural binding agent that characterized 19th-century facades—this work resembles a framed and preserved piece of stucco. Its warm yellow-gray hue evokes aged stone, while small cracks and indentations hint at its rapid curing and the artist's hand. The radial profile was created in a single pull, resulting in sharp edges and subtle irregularities that enliven the surface. By reviving this lost craft, this work brings the poetry of patina into the modern space.
