We poured this acrylic medium onto a wood panel, ignoring standard instructions and letting air pockets, soft lumps, and an extra-thick coat form their own terrain. As the layer dried, it cracked and contracted, creating a delicate network of fissures. Shades of white - shaped through subtle variations in structure - shift with the light, while gentle hollows and raised ridges guide the eye across the surface.
