This work combines the materials of welded steel bars with hand-applied cement on a rigid wooden support. The raw junctions between the two materials form a rhythmic horizontal structure. Each weld mark remains visible, allowing the heaviness of steel which was cut by fire to meet the mineral calmness of cement. A balance between weight and stillness—reduced to the essentials of form and matter.
