"Every layer, every scratch, every trace in the structure of a surface tells a story. Even if some layers lie hidden forever, their presence is of essential importance."

COMPOSING THE RAW

INTRODUCTION

Alexander Queisser composes conceptually conceived motifs on plastered walls. The trained master painter works with the aesthetics of time and the art of artificial raw decay, with plastering techniques, theory of colours and the appliance of patina until his vision is precisely pictured as an high end surface on walls and objects.

"Uncovering what was hidden tells an unfiltered story of decay. Honest and unpunished – the truth of the past comes to light."
