ROOM 209 – PAINT IT BLACK
Upon entering, the eye is drawn to the dark front of the room. Several layers emerge on the wall in black and gray tones. The jute, hemp and cotton fabrics used were dyed with natural colors.
Robert Wieser, a professor at the University of Applied Arts, lent a helping hand. The finishing touch was a layer of gypsum plaster, which was applied partly over the fabric panels, scraped off and smoothed.
